USHERS MINISTRY

The Ushers Ministry participates in creating, fostering, and maintaining a welcoming environment in the sanctuary of the Mount Zion Baptist Church.  The inviting atmosphere rests on the ushers visibly displaying the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. This love must be experienced from the greeting to the seating of worshippers, from ushers meeting the requests of worshippers to ushers anticipating the needs of worshippers, and from the offering to the benediction.  Finally and crucially, ushers are committed to pastoral leadership to “help people come expectantly into the presence of the Lord, become renewed in the sanctuary, and depart with a sense of Christian mission [Alvin D. PROMISE ACADEMY

The Promise Academy is a goal-oriented program that focuses on enhancing students’ K-12 confidence within academia.  In addition to homework help, students will have the opportunity to work on improving basic study skills.

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

Youth Fellowship is an opportunity for children and youth to learn about God’s Word and His plan for their lives.
